Her artwork is a direct extension of her experiences in our natural world. As a avid hiker and traveler, she immerses herself in the landscapes and wildlife that define the places she visits. She creates through her experiences. Every piece begins with a journey. She captures fleeting light, textures, and movements of nature through her photographs and experiences. These experiences and photographs serve as the foundation and memory banks for her studio practice.

Translating these deep, personal connections into tangible art requires a versatile approach to materials. She works across a variety of disciplines including Wood Sculpture, Mixed Media and her Representational Works. All works are recreations of nature and wildlife. She seeks to honor the realistic beauty of the environment and create works which capture the emotion of actually being there. Whether sculpting from a variety of wood, or layering rich colors on canvas, her goal is to invite the viewer into that shared moment of discovery and remind them of the profound, untamed beauty that surrounds us.
