Lynda Brawner

Lynda Brawner is a nonobjective painter whose intuitive work explores color, texture, and movement. She studied at the University of Wisconsin–Superior and taught art for several years, an experience she found deeply rewarding. After retiring from teaching, she focused on her own art, allowing her artistic talents to evolve.

Working with layered acrylic paint and oil pastels, Brawner creates richly textured surfaces, allowing each painting to develop naturally through experimentation and spontaneous decision-making. Rather than depicting recognizable subjects, her compositions invite viewers to discover their own meanings and personal connections. Each work becomes a visual journey shaped by the unexpected possibilities of the creative process.

Brawner currently participates in regional art fairs and is an active member of the BAVA community, where she continues to share her work and connect with fellow artists and audiences.
